Cavalier King Charles Spaniels

No wonder Cavaliers were the Dogs of Kings... once you own a Cavalier you too will feel like a King.

Cavalier Puppies are eager, affectionate, and extremely friendly to all.  "Stranger" just isn't in their vocabulary!  They are intelligent enough to understand what you want and therefore are usually easy to train and respond well to gentle obedience training.  They are said to be naturally well behaved and get along well with other dogs and non-canine pets.  Cavalier's love people and need lots of companionship to be happy. Cavaliers make great companions to an elderly person or single person as well as families.

Height: 12-13 inches

Weight: 10-18 pounds

Cavalier  Spaniels are moderately active indoors and do well in an apartment, or with a small yard.  They do not do well in very warm conditions.  Whatever exercise you can provide will be just fine with this adaptable dog, as they will adapt to your family's circumstances.  However, they greatly enjoy a good romp in the park.

Grooming
Despite their elegant, silky coats, the Cavaliers do not need a lot of care. Just brushing out about once a week so their hair donesn't "mat". Bathing can be done every couple weeks and they don't shed that much considering their long, full hair

Cavaliers are additive - once you have one, you will want another one!  It is said that female cavaliers love you, but males are IN love with you!  We raise Blenheims (red and white), Tri colors and Rubies. Reserve your upcoming AKC registered puppy by sending a deposit for upcoming future litters.  Adults are checked annually for all breed health related issues.

CAVALIER TEMPERAMENT: Mary Queen of Scotts and Charles I, Charles II, and the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough, all helped to popularize this charming little dog. The breed is highly affectionate. Most dogs of the breed are playful, extremely patient and eager to please. As such, dogs of the breed are usually good with children and other dogs. A well-socialized Cavalier will not be shy about socializing with much larger dogs. Cavaliers need affection and love to please you.  Do not scold your cavalier or treat it harshly.  Firm but loving training works best. Cavaliers have had sucess as agility dogs because of their ahletic skills and trainability.

All of our Ohio Cavaliers are AKC registered. (Only the best).  Limited registration puppies are sold with a spay and neuter contract. Full registration includes breeding rights.
