No wonder Cavaliers were the Dogs of Kings... once you own a Cavalier you too will feel like a King.
Cavalier Puppies are eager,
affectionate, and extremely friendly to all. "Stranger" just isn't in their
vocabulary! They are intelligent enough to understand what you want and
therefore are usually easy to train and respond well to gentle obedience
training. They are said to be naturally well behaved and get along well with
other dogs and non-canine pets. Cavalier's love people and need lots of
companionship to be happy. Cavaliers make great companions to an elderly person or single person as well as families.
Height: 12-13 inches
Weight: 10-18 pounds
Cavalier Spaniels
are moderately active indoors and do well in an apartment, or with a small
yard. They do not do well in very warm conditions. Whatever exercise you can
provide will be just fine with this adaptable dog, as they will adapt to your
family's circumstances. However, they greatly enjoy a good romp in the park.
Grooming
Despite their elegant, silky
coats, the Cavaliers do not need a lot of care. Just brushing out about once a
week so their hair donesn't "mat". Bathing can be done every couple weeks and
they don't shed that much considering their long, full hair
